Paul Pittman, The Human Well

Paul Pittman is the founding partner of The Human Well - a human resource consulting company specializing in the international mining sector.

From managing executive compensation in Canada, to expatriate practices in Indonesia, to total reward in Africa, The Human Well helps you identify, attract and keep exceptional staff by problem-solving your unique people related issues to keep talent on your team.

The Human Well works with Boards on global compensation strategies cultural change initiatives, captive insurance arrangements for managing global employee benefit risk and employment entities for effecting expatriate talent strategies.

Paul has more than 25 years of experience in international human resources including with major international companies such as Massey Ferguson, Japan Tobacco International (formerly RJR Nabisco), Alcan and Deloitte.

He is a former member of the Conference Board of Canada's Council of Human Resources Executives, other human resource advisory roles and speaks regularly at conferences worldwide, his articles on human resource issues are published internationally and he was formerly editor of a major reference work on international human resources and has lived in the UK, Canada and Switzerland and worked extensively in many other parts of the world.

Mark R Thompson, McKinley Solutions

Mark R. Thompson is the Managing Principal and President of McKinley Solutions, based in their Toronto office. Prior to McKinley, Mark was the senior project manager for employee satisfaction and engagement during the Toronto Dominion and Canada Trust merger, and prior was an active member of KPMG's career management and executive search teams.

Mark holds a business degree with a specialization in human resources and management from Bishop's University. He is an avid road cyclist, successful Ironman triathlon finisher , mountaineer and proud father of two boys.
